TNS: Good Luck from one ?minnow? to another.

Mike Harris, the Managing Director of TNS said: ?Having played Liverpool in 2005 we?re fully aware of the excitement that comes with drawing them and the once in a lifetime experience that comes with playing in front of the kop. We?ll be routing for Havant & Waterlooville when they go to Liverpool and have sent a personal message of Good Luck to all the players and management at Havant & Waterlooville from one ?minnow? to another.?

Mike Harris added: ?Maybe they can cause an upset and get a fairy tale result.?

In 2005, TNS (then named after their sponsor Total Network Solutions) famously drew defending champions Liverpool in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, playing them over 2 legs, in a fixture that saw the footballing world focus on the Welsh champions.

Rafael Benetiz said after the second leg: ?I thought TNS played very well?they worked very hard and were aggressive and defended well. I was impressed with them.?

Mr Harris said this week: ?We have now moved into our new ground in Oswestry and by the end of this summer it will meet all UEFA criteria to host European matches. We?re currently leading the Welsh Premier League and unless that situation changes we?ll qualify for Europe again this year.?

?The recognition that we have received from playing Liverpool has given us a great reputation all over the world. We have supporters in far flung corners of the globe and people everywhere now know of TNS and our European history.?
